Community Colleges for International Development Scholarship
Scholarship Overview
In an effort to support the global competencies and knowledge of students, Community Colleges for International Development and The Asia Institute are offering scholarships supporting global research and international experiences for students. $2000 in total scholarships will be awarded at the 2022 CCID Annual Conference to selected student-faculty joint applicants.
Eligibility and Participation
- Student submissions will be accepted from any undergraduate, graduate or doctoral student who is currently attending a university or college that is a member of the Community Colleges for International Development (CCID). Proof of enrollment at the time the submission period opens or at the time the global learning experience in Asia concludes may be requested.Student submissions will be accepted from any student who is seeking to participate in a global learning experience in Asia.A global learning experience is defined as a short-term faculty-led program (2-8 weeks in length), a semester long study abroad program, a full year study abroad program, an internship (6 weeks minimum), a virtual learning program (4 weeks minimum) or the conducting of scholarly research (4 weeks minimum).
- The global learning experience must have a start date between January 1, 2022 and December 31, 2022.
- All submissions should be jointly submitted by a student and faculty advisor. The faculty advisor can either be a study abroad officer or a professor. Preferably this individual would have a working relationship with the student applicant.
Application Portal
The submission deadline for the Community Colleges for International Development Scholarship is February 15, 2022. Please ensure both faculty and student applications are submitted by this date.
